GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
As the Dental Supervisor, this individual will be highly motivated while overseeing the daily operations of the dental clinics.  While maintaining staff and patient rapport to make positive contribution to clinic and organization.
 
Location split: 60% of time spent at West Allis, 40% of time spent at Lomira
 
Ideal candidates will have recent, strong clinical experience as this leadership role is a working supervisory position.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and supervise the daily clinical operations.
  • Maintains a clinic environment that ensures optimal patient care
  • Supports and leads the team in a positive direction
  • Supports the clinics by providing staff coverage as necessary, in assistant and receptionist role
  • Analyze and organize clinic operations and procedures, including but not limited to, bookkeeping, invoice processing, preparation of payrolls and other administrative duties.
  • Evaluate and review clinic procedures and processes to develop new ways to improve efficiency with clinic operations, patient retention and profitability.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of Quad/Graphics’ benefit package
  • Recruitment, retention and termination of staff, work with HR to assess, investigate and resolve employee issues.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of software systems to compile, store, and retrieve data for managerial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state dental laws, ensure a safe work environment by complying with all local, state and federal health and safety regulations and laws, and ensure compliance with office and organization policy and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to support the clinics and organization.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 
Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED
  •  Associates Degree (AA) from a two or four-year college preferred
  • 3 years leadership experience in dental/medical or related field
  • 3 years experience successfully leading/managing a team of people
  • 3 years clinical experience as a dental assistant or dental hygienist
  •  Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • CPR or BLS certification within 60 days of hire
 
Skills & Abilities: 
  • Staff/Patient rapport -- make positive contribution to office/organization 
  • Capable of addressing and mitigating needs and concerns of staff
  • Demonstrates ability to actively listen to staff, patients and deliver on their needs
  • Continually works to improve supervisory skills, processes, and service
  • Demonstrates ability to hold self and others accountable by setting the right expectations and monitoring projected and accomplished goals
  • Knowledge of dental and some medical terminology
  • Successful track record for identifying, selecting, developing, and retaining talent preferred
  • Ability to understand billing and insurance preferred
  • Ability to present treatment cases preferred
