Do you have a good mechanical aptitude?  Would you like to further develop that skill while learning the electrical process of machine building? Our Ozaukee/Washington County client builds and rebuilds specialty machinery and is seeking a few good candidates.

 

Responsibilities will include:

         Assembly of machinery, working from prints or schematics, will wire panels, test equipment, troubleshoot, on new & used machines.

         Meter testing - PLC's, panel views, switches, piping, etc.

         Assemble & fit parts, sub-assemblies and mechanisms together.

         Setup and operate a variety of machines to include horizontal & vertical mills, lathes, grinders, MIG welders, presses, etc. ; both manual and CNC equipment.

         Use hand tools, power hand tools, and machine tools to make adjustments to tooling or the parts.

         Use precision measuring devices to setup and adjust parts and verify conformance of work to specifications.

         Operate a fork truck.

         Troubleshoot complex assembly problems.

         Perform general preventive maintenance work on tools and equipment.

         Create and complete all necessary paperwork.

         Able to handle field service work in the future.

         Need own tools.

 

Requirements:

         High School diploma or GED

         5+ years related experience

         Mechanical and Electrical experience

         Daily computer use

         Able to read and understand documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

         Excellent communication skills both oral and written (will be interacting with customers)

         Shop math to include geometric algebraic and trigonometric calculations. Must be able to perform metric conversions.

         Basic knowledge of carpentry and pneumatics is beneficial but not required.

         Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and  criminal background check

         Electrical skills should include the ability to work with high voltage - 440+, single & 3 phase

         Able to travel - Average is 20% but can be up to 40% of the time based on the customer need

 

Shift, Pay, and Benefits:

         1st shift Monday Friday,  7 a.m. 3:30 p.m.

         $16 20/hr. based on experience
