Job Description Summary:
The Night Audit Supervisor will provide Front Desk support in the check in and check out process. Respond to guest inquires and concerns by creating a great guest experience. Will ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled and accounted for in accordance with set policies and procedures.

Job Description: QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years of college education preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in a customer service position, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Cash Handling experience required
  • Previous experience with PMS hotel systems.
  • Knowledge of POS systems and procedures to process nightly reports, backups, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel, basic macro and formula knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Accounting:
  • Work with Income Auditor and supervise overnight staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals that information is recorded properly.
  • Balance retail and food and beverage transactions in an accurate and precise manner as to assist in the closing of daily work for all outlets and posting correct daily totals.
  • Perform daily backups on systems and perform any necessary maintenance when situations arise.
  • Balance daily credit card posting.
  • Insure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner.
  • Notify proper staffing when discrepancies arise.
  • Facilitate any necessary CP or DMP allocations in Opera.
Front Desk:
  • Check guest in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled and accurate information is established.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with smile and empathy.
  • Thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
  • Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and hotel policies.
  • Training 3rd shift front desk team members.
  • Maintain house bank.
  • Communicate all pertinent information to the Front Office Managers and Supervisors.
  • Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
  • Interact with hotel staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Provide communication to operation departments to ensure response to guest requests.
  • Coordinate shuttle and valet as needed on overnight shift to ensure efficient service to the hotel guest.
  • Verify all Opera interfaces are active (Telephone, Delphi, Squirrel, etc).
  • Perform thorough bucket/rate check and make necessary adjustments prior to posting Room & Tax running that evenings closing reports.
  • Verify there are no unsettled balances for departed guests.
  • Will be the “Be the Difference” with employees and guests by practicing the Benchmark Mosaic 4 P’s.
Must be able to work overnight shift including weekends.
