We currently an opening for Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) Technician located in S. Huntsville, AL
JOB DESCRIPTION
Entry level position under supervision of engineer.
Responsible for transferring blueprint drawings of tooling to AutoCad and Solidworks into working documents.
Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting.
Consults with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards.
SHIFT: First
PAYRATE: To be determined
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Formal instruction in mechanical drafting.
Knowledge of basic math skills.
CAD training printing skill required.
Willingness to accept supervision and ability to follow instructions.
Create CAD drawings from engineering/design projects
Able to generate layout drawings from sketches, specifications, and measurements taken out in plant.
Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of Solid Works experience
2+ years of drafting
Drafting degree required, or currently working on
Ability to work in an office and industrial settings
