CNC Lead Machinist
Pay Rate: $25-$30 per hour
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm NO OT
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in CNC lathe, programming and editing, - HAAS and Fanuc
- Must have set up experience
- Must have experience with HAAS, Fanuc, G&M code
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must have experience with Mics & Calipers / inspection/ dial boar gauges
- Lead experience at least 2 years - someone who is a teacher- be patient enough because you are dealing with
- Company supplied tooling but if they are a true machinist they have their own tools they are comfortable with-but it's not an absolute necessity
- Plus being able to scheduling / involved in assisting with purchasing
Job Description:
- Making sure machines are up and running- there are 6 primary machines - all CNC machines- all lathes- no mills
- Will be running and setting up CNC machines- it's not so much programming but editing the existing programs
- Needs someone to make the floor and machines more efficient
- Will be doing 2 -6 set ups per day
- Will be running 100 pieces per day
- Reading blueprints
- Will need to troubleshoot speeds/ feeds/ production flow issues
- Will eventually be involved in the scheduling
- Will want them to evolve into the position that Tom is in- needs strong machining background and organization skills - Tom runs an ERP and reports it
- Will be working with Fanuc / Haas- G&M code
- Will be working with aluminum / steel - no exotic materials
- Will be working with engineering and problems on the floor parts not fitting- troubleshooting - any new projects coming along with caterpillar right now
