The Mobile Application Development and Delivery Lead collaborates with onshore teams and is responsible for leading an onshore/offshore technical team to deliver a common technical and architectural solution for their assigned domain portfolio under development. In this role, you will participate in defining and delivering the systems, subsystems, and interfaces; validate technology assumptions; and evaluate alternatives. You will align solutions, releases, and sprints consistent with program and project delivery cadence and are responsible for ensuring practical and implementable
alignment with the organization and enterprise technological and architectural vision.
You understand the solution context and actively collaborate with the teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure alignment. You are trained and practiced in both traditional and agile delivery models, understand and are able to manage the complexities of large-scale solution development. You will also work closely with other offshore and onsite development and QA resources to develop and deliver a high quality product and are expected to typically work outside normal business hours due to the onshore/offshore teaming structure.
Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with the Scrum Masters, Architects, QA, Dev/Ops, as well as multiple organizations within the company
- Responsible for all assigned delivery activities across the offshore technical lead / scrum team and are the onshore escalation point for all application support and development issues specific to their assigned domain and projects
- Partner with the onshore Product Manager to ensure customer requirements are being communicated to the scrum team and teams are collaborating successfully
- Responsible for delivering high-quality products on time, on target, and within budget
- Collaborate with DevOps team to align with CI/CD requirements for assigned projects
- Provide guidance to development team throughout all phases of scrum (backlog grooming, sprint planning, estimation/story pointing and retro/demo)
- Recommend resource assignments on projects across a multi-faceted team on multiple products and platforms
- Provide input into architecting the hardware environment, services platform, application platform, and database. Work with Dev/Ops on managing the lower environments (dev, qa, uat, build servers, deployment, etc.)
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives for products and services, product road mapping, and tactical discussions.
- Responsible for selecting and hiring new developers & engineers, including other 3rd party resources as needed
- Work with architects and management to manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture. Help ensure the architecture is sustainable, deployable, and secure
Work with IT security to regularly scan applications for vulnerabilities and remediate in a timely fashion
- 7+ years delivering robust mobile applications
- 5+ Years of experience delivering technical projects in an agile squad-based organization
- 3+ Years of experience with project management and technical leadership
- Expert knowledge of iOS
- Knowledge and experience with Swift
- 3+ Years of experience writing full stack JavaScript
- 2+ Years of experience writing mobile applications in React Native (preferred) and/or Cordova
