Position Summary:
Create an amazing product experience using their mechanical engineering and compliance skills. The right candidate will be responsible for creating, documenting, and executing Electra products and compliance requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Complete engineering tasks using Trek’s internal systems (including SolidWorks, EPDM, Matrix, Enovia, Workfront).
- Request and perform engineering testing and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a technical resource to internal departments as necessary.
- Travel as necessary both domestically and internationally (typically China and Taiwan).
- Effectively balance multiple projects, responsibilities, and tasks simultaneously.
- Work to develop product to meet import and test regulatory requirements
- Electra Point of Contact with ACT Labs
- Manages all children’s annual testing for CPSC, ISO, AS/NZS compliance
- Works to develop test plans with Electra frame engineer
- Develops and maintains Electra DoC’s and CoC’s from factories/vendors
- DRI for product compliance with Electra team members
- Conducts Hard Kickoff reviews with Product management and engineering
- manuals/packaging for Electra
- Product Compliance Labeling for Electra
- Legal Technical Consultant for Electra
- Helmet batch testing and certification with ACT labs and SAI global
- Works with Diamant/SLG for EPAC certification
- Adhere to and educate others on Field Quality Alert (FQA), Non-Conforming Material (NCM), and related global Trek processes.
- Assist Quality in field issue investigations as needed
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent desired
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and solid modeling abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills -able to interact effectively with domestic and international teammates.
- Attitude that fosters continuous improvement and flexibility.
- Proficient planning and organization skills, initiative, accountability, and attention to details.
- Competent computer database, spreadsheet, presentation, and word processing abilities.
- Computer aided engineering skills including simulation programs, mathematical modeling, and analysis programs, preferably SolidWorks.
