Title: Production Coil Coating Trainee

Location: Mesquite, TX 75149

Type: Temp to Perm

Pay:    1st shift pay $15.00 hour plus up to $2 per hour bonus

(Must work at least 40 hours to receive bonus for week. Bonus only paid on first 40 hours worked each week)

 

2nd shift pay $15.00 hour plus $3 shift differential plus up to $2 per hour bonus

(Must work at least 40 hours to receive bonus for week. Bonus only paid on first 40 hours worked each week)

 

Hours:   Must be open to working 1st and 2nd shift

 

1st shift hours: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mon, then 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tue/Wed/Thu **Rotates every 6 weeks to night shift       

 

2nd shift hours: 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Mon/Tue/Wed, then Thu 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. **Rotates every 6 weeks to day shift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Placing caps on open coil tubes
  • Straightening fins on metals coils
  • Dipping customer coils into coatings in a large tank
  • Running overhead cranes/hoist to raise and lower coils into etching & degreasing tanks and dip tanks.
  • Spraying coils with primer and/or coatings
  • Sandblasting coatings or contaminants off of metal surfaces
  • Moving coils on carts into ovens
  • Inspecting coils for even coats of paint
  • Cleaning, as needed
  • Maintaining a safe working environment

Requirements

  • High school degree, diploma, or GED
  • Possess good basic math skills
  • 2+ year’s machine operator experience
  • Safety conscious individual
  • Comfortable with performing repetitious work
  • Willing to cross-train in other areas
  • Must wear steel-toed boots and jeans
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • A team player who handles multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Punctual with good attendance is a must
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds in a safe manner
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Excellent verbal & written English language skills are required
  • Must be able to work in a uncontrolled environment
  • Background check and drug screen to be administered
