The Lay-out Fitter is responsible for the lay-out of metal components to assemble structural forms using angle iron, I-beams, and plate steel. The Fitter will utilize hand tools while following shop details specifications.

Job Responsibilities
In this role, you are responsible for:
- Read drawings
- Pull a 35’ tape
- Trace flanges and webs using a 12” square and chalk (using both hands)
- Pick up 15 oz clips plates and put it over the welded part.
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret shop detail drawings
- Previous experience reading and working off of detail prints.
- Proficient in mathematical skills.
- Must currently possess AWS Certification or have welding experience to be able to pass AWS Certification testing.
