Job Description Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated hospitality professional.
The ideal candidate will have experience with hotel sales experience. The manager will work with a specific geographic market and selected vertical markets.

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • The ideal candidate must have experience and knowledge of the hotel sales industry and a proven track record of positive sales growth.
  • Outgoing, pleasant personality, with the ability to multi task.
  • Delphi knowledge is highly preferred.
  • Book definite and tentative business to meet and exceed budgeted group room revenues.
  • Complete outside sales calls and site visits each week.
  • Establish & maintain procedures for creating new and maintaining existing group business.
  • Responsible for knowing what the property has to offer group business; must have knowledge of menus, set-up options and hotel room rates and occupancy and other amenities area activities, etc.
  • Produce and review all sales contracts, rate agreements and event orders while monitor and handle inquiry calls and provide client proposals in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Arrange and conduct special events, site inspections and off-site presentations for potential clients.
  • Produce monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts.
  • Attend and represent resort at trade shows and conventions and participate in sales trips to key feeder markets.
  • Responsible for fast and efficient functionality and exceptional guest service.
  • Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication and teamwork with all departments
  • Sends correspondence to follow up on sales activities on a regular basis.
  • Plans and executes familiarization trips on a local and state basis as prescribed by the Marketing Plan.
  • Prepares weekly activity reports.
  • Must complete pre/post sales calls reports weekly.
  • Performs additional duties as outlined by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Assists on special projects, as required.
  • Professional and ethical behavior in dealing with clients and fellow staff members.
  • Is a team player – contributes ideas.
  • All other duties assigned by Management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
  • Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. This includes traveling to and from meetings. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and other office equipment as needed.
