Job Overview:

As a senior technologist, the Tech Lead, Digital Support - Mobile is responsible for driving Mobile Domain readiness from a support and operations perspective. The Lead will work closely with business and technology partners to identify functional and non-functional requirements and implement in line with business expectations. He/She will be responsible for collaborating with the Macy's technology teams to understand and support highly scalable mobile solutions with a goal of operational and support excellence. The Lead is expected to work with offshore partners to support Mobile channel 24/7 in line with Digital Support Org’s policies, standards and perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Manage the digital support for the mobile channel for Macy’s Technology working closely with his/her Supervisor.
• Technically guide support team members and supervise day to day work. Ecommerce background is highly desired and is a strong plus.
• Look for new tools and technologies in the mobile space to provide operational excellence and automation capabilities.
• Champion communication and process within the team and mentor junior team members.
• Represent mobile support work stream in meetings, iterative development, estimations and design sessions.
• Work with Operations and development teams to help achieve a high quality of release management.
• Work with the other Technical leads to review technical specifications as required, meeting the objectives of functional specifications. Specifically, identifying specific interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures or functions as required.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of full life cycle development of enterprise software for desktop and/or mobile channels is required. Ability to drive planning, execution, support and operations is a key.
• Full stack Java/J2EE development and/or support experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with SOA, SOAP, XML, JSON, Messaging, Restful architecture is required.
• Experience with Mobile platforms including iOS, Android apps is highly desired.
• 2 years of systems integration experience within a Java environment is highly preferred.
• Experience directing multiple developers across geographical locations, including offshore resources.
• Experience in Agile development methods and running SCRUMs.

Communication Skills:

• Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles.

Other Skills:

• Demonstrable ability to ensure support teams’ readiness across multiple projects delivered in monthly code releases.
• Ability and desire to thrive in a proactive, high-pressure, and dynamic, environment with excellent inter-personal skills and ability to multi-task.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
