Job Summary

The Porter will be responsible for the cleanliness of the showroom, offices, restroom and storage spaces of our store. This Maintenance Technician position will assist with minor store repairs, furniture touch- ups, receiving and unpacking of accessories and furniture. The porter will also assist in all floor moves, and placement of accessories and furniture as directed by the Merchandise Manager. The Maintenance Technician will assist with all fly-bys and customer carry outs and will ensure the store is clean, shiny and orderly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Constantly surveys the store looking for safety concerns, and look for new methods to keep store clean and organized.
  • Responsible for the organizing the stockroom and storage room areas.
  • Responsible for keeping an inventory of all sold and damaged accessories in the back dock.
  • Assists Merchandise Manager with the completion of store displays.
  • Unpacks and receives all accessory orders.
  • Each day the Porter Daily Responsibilities checklist must be completed and signed at the end of every shift.
  • Areas of responsibilities include but not limited to: emptying and taking out trash, mopping, restrooms, bull pen cleanliness, vacuuming, windows, assisting in café, kids play area and front office cleanliness.
  • Porter is to work closely with the Merchandise Manager and Management Staff on additional daily task that is required by the store.
