Sandwich Maker - Einstein Bros Bagels - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary and Purpose: The Sandwich Maker prepares food and assembles orders, in accordance with standardized policies, in order to provide fresh, quality product.

 Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare all items with a sense of urgency to achieve four/six minute times.
• Call down hot orders; and pull, cut, and toast bagels.
• Package all items as specified to ensure consistency.
• Ensure availability/consistency of all items using Job Aids and Line Check.
• Assemble order, verify order is complete/accurate, call guest by name, hand good to guest with a smile and a thank you/invitation to return.
• Use L.A.S.T., “Make It Right,” and “Just Say Yes” to handle any guest complaints.
• Restock sandwich line with food and paper products before/after rushes.
• Ensure top, inside, doors of sandwich unit, including cutting boards, are clean and sanitized to ensure sandwich line cleanliness.
• Keep utensils and sandwich unit inserts clean.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy front of house environment by following sanitation standards.
• Deep cleaning of storage areas, including refrigerators, drawers, cabinets, etc.
• Complete daily, weekly, monthly front of house maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Education and Training:

• High School Diploma
• Food service experience a plus

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the Sandwich Maker is required to use hands repetitively, stand for prolonged periods, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity.  This employee is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and nick in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, push and/or pull, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Occasionally, the Sandwich Maker is required to sit, climb, balance, and/or move over 50 pounds. 

This employee is required to work in various temperatures, in a noisy environment, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals.
