JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Complimentary Services Supervisor
Department: Complimentary Services

Reports To: Assistant General Manager/Restaurant Manager
Supervises: Complimentary Services Utility
Job Description Date: May 1, 2014
Job Purpose: To supervise and coordinate activities of comp breakfast personnel to provide fast and courteous service to patrons.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Greets guests, escorts them to tables when necessary.
2. Ensures guests are satisfied by walking through dining area and offering any assistance.
3. Responds to concerns of patrons.
4. Assigns work tasks and coordinates activities of breakfast personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service to patrons.
5. Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness, and requisitions dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
6. May train comp breakfast personnel.
7. Keeps time records of dining room personnel when they are on break.
8. May collect payment from customers.
9. Maintains a clean and organized dish breakdown area with clean china, silver, glassware and utensils.
10. Maintains an ample amount of food supply throughout buffet and breakfast area. Restock glasses, cups, plates, napkins, trays, etc...
11. Removes water glasses and coffee cups upon request of user.
12. Cleans tables, wipes down salt and pepper shakers, etc.
13. Sets up tables for breakfast customers.
14. Maintains tear down station in a neat and organized manner.
15. Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
16. Rewards associates who use their empowerment to meet or exceed guest expectations.
17. Reprimands associates who are not following the company’s policies and procedures with written communications prior to discussing the issue with the restaurant manager.
18. Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
19. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
20. Performs other related duties as required.
21. Reports to Restaurant Manager weekly to discuss any issues pertaining to the complimentary breakfast.
22. Ensures employees are meeting or exceeding expectations.
23. Ensures employees understand hotel policies and procedures and they are following these same rules.
24. Maintains employee files by ensuring all the necessary paperwork is up to date as well as maintaining accurate personnel forms in order to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
25. Assists in performance evaluations.
26. Demonstrates a commitment to the company internal audit by reviewing audit requirements regularly and ensuring these requirements are met.
27. Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
1. Compute discount, interest, profit and loss; commission, markups and selling price; ratio and proportion, and percentages. Calculate surface, volumes, weights, and measures.
2. Write business letters, summaries, customer complaint response letters, and reports, using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
