Job Summary

The Plant Manager will manage the overall operations of the Plant to meet desired production targets as well as achieve or exceed desired facility safety performance. The Plant Manager will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that’s consistent with quality requirements. The Plant Manager with be a change agent driving continuous improvement in all areas of the plant including establishing safety standards, monitoring and auditing safety in the workplace, communicating with and coaching employees on all aspects of safe work practices meeting production targets.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for Plant Operations, Safety, Quality, Production, Efficiency, Teamwork insuring conformance to metrics and goals related to same
  • Insuring the team is meeting production schedules while product standards will exceed our customers’ expectations
  • Improving operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organization well-being purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure warehouse efficiency
  • Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives
  • Drive continuous process improvement and Lean principles and focus on problem solving to drive process improvement and reduce waste
  • Drives safe operations. Ensure facility is complying with and actively engaged in safety programs
  • Prepare, analyze, and issue production and performance reports
  • Control costs to achieve company budget goals
  • Ensure all employees follow operation standards and working practices
  • Contribute towards that achievement of company’s strategic and operational objective
  • Effectively manage the IIPP System (Injury and Illness Prevention Program)
  • Provide technical support for process control and operations of manufacturing equipment.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience in production, manufacturing and managing a production team
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
  • Must have excellent statistical skills. Knowledge of mechanical components is a plus point.
  • Must have the ability to read measuring and testing instruments
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid PC skills
  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
  • Engineering experience is a plus
Hours: Monday through Friday, 6AM to 2:30+PM
