Job Description Summary:

The Lead Housekeeper will assist the housekeeping supervisors and managers in training staff in methods and procedures of handling equipment and cleaning products

Job Description:

• Prepare all cleaning caddies for housekeeping staff prior to shift start
• Assign cabin cleaning lists to cleaning staff
• Stock cleaning supplies in Linen room
• Keep accurate inventories of cleaning supplies

• Lay out linens in Linen room prior to guest departure

• Vacuuming of all carpets and floors.
• Detailed cleaning of bathrooms, including washing of floors, including disinfecting all bathrooms
• Dusting all areas, including; plants, pictures, furniture, ornaments, lamps etc.
• Spot washing walls of fingerprints and smudge marks.
• Cleaning of all light fixtures
• Collecting of all garbage and removing to specified location
• Cleaning and disinfecting of all garbage receptacles.
• Cleaning of all mirrors
• Detailed cleaning of oven, fridge, stove top and hood, dishwasher, microwave, toasters, coffee maker etc.
• Washing of all soiled dishes, cookware, and cutlery.
• Washing of all countertops and cupboard surfaces (inside and out, as required)
• Washing of floor
• Cleaning of sinks
• Cleaning of splash backs.
• Cleaning and disinfecting of waste containers (inside and out)
• Cleaning under stove and fridge
• Cleaning and polishing of all furniture surfaces including underside of all chair seats and table tops.
• Dusting of all window coverings and window ledges.
• Spot washing of all walls
• Vacuuming of all chairs, couches, and underneath all furniture
• Dusting of ceiling fans and high window ledges
• Dusting and cleaning of all plants.
• Cleaning of outside windows as needed
• Cleaning of all inside windows.
• Sweeping and washing of outside deck floor surface
• Cleaning of deck railings
• Cleaning of deck furniture
• Cleaning of outside and inside of front door
• Sweeping of outside front stairs
• Make sure all beds have fresh linens
• Replenish toilet tissue
• Dust all surfaces and ledges (polishing where required.)
• Turn mattresses as required.
