Ferndale Laboratories, Inc. is currently seeking a Compounder. We provide eligible employees: medical, dental, vision, paid holidays and a 401(k) program with company match. Performs compounding of Ferndale products by operating production equipment, measuring/weighing raw materials, and assuring batches manufactured comply with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Maintains accurate record documentation related to compounding activities. Performs cleaning of compounding equipment. May help in validating processes and equipment that are directly related to the functions of compounding.

Essential Functions:

•Weighs all raw materials for batch compounding. 
•Operates platform balances and scales. 
•Issues raw materials to staging and compounding areas. 
•Cleans compounding equipment, rooms, tanks, and staging areas. 
•Operates compounding equipment including: prop-type mixers, steam kettles, tanks and pumps. 
•Manufactures batches using above equipment. 
•Assists supervision with writing, reviewing and revising written procedures, batch records, policies and forms. 

0-2 years laboratory experience with measuring & mixing raw materials in a FDA regulated industry. Basic mechanical and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Windows. Good math skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with peers and management. 
Required to lift 55 lbs vertically along with push and pull requirements of 50 lbs force (rolling loads).
Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills.
