Summary of Job:

The Sr. Marketing Specialist will drive both strategic and tactical responsibilities within the department, assisting the marketing team in achieving overall goals and high level strategic imperatives. 

This position will be responsible for supporting marketing managers, as well as leading projects independently.  The Sr. Marketing Specialist will be focused on maintaining brand standards across regions and brands, aligning with larger marketing objectives to bring campaigns and content to life, and establishing processes that will assist the team in long-term planning goals.  

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Marketing Manager in the strategic development of all annual marketing plans for the VRR portfolio of brands.  Own and drive the tactical execution of these strategic plans, bringing them to life in market.
  • Own the strategic marketing plan and tactical execution for all en-route brands within the VRR portfolio, including strategy development, presentation to key stakeholders, go-to-market plan, tactical execution and post-event analysis.
  • Maintain the Marketing Messaging calendar to ensure overall alignment on key campaigns and organizational initiatives.
  • Assist in the cross functional implementation and management of the formal production and Seasonal Planning processes.
  • Responsible for project management and communication management across multiple teams, ensuring cross functional alignment on key retail campaigns.
  • Develop creative briefs based on customer insights and overall objectives of each campaign.  Work closely with the creative team to bring the campaign briefs to life.  Proof and ensure accuracy in all creative before going to market.
  • Responsible for the management of the marketing budget; including purchase order creation and budget maintenance.
  • Responsible for tracking, reporting and determining insights on weekly/monthly promotions and larger campaigns for each brand.  Monitor insights and provide timely feedback for future marketing opportunities and/or shift in current strategy.
  • Write and edit marketing content to support evergreen efforts, key campaigns and seasonal brand messages.
  • Assist in on-the-ground event execution as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

•             Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field        

•             3+ years in marketing. 

•             Experience problem solving with cross-functional stakeholders of varying levels within an organization

•             Experience with analytics and generating insights from data   

•             Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

•             Experience with online web software and tools

•             English fluency

•             Ability to work both independently and as a Team Player

•             Ability to articulate and champion best practices

•             Exceptional copywriting and editing skills

•             Creative and innovative

•             Strong communication skills

•             Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
