Job Summary:
Food Service Associates are responsible for providing quick and efficient service to guests through serving food and beverages, collecting payment, and making change. This position is also responsible for ensuring that every guest of the facility receives the highest level of customer service possible while contributing to the mission and goals set forth by the client.
Reporting Relationship:
The Food Service Associate reports directly to the Restaurant Supervisors and Food & Beverage Operations team and has support responsibility for all functional managers of the unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and take orders
- Serve food and beverages, both hot and cold
- Check and stock supplies in counter area, display refrigerator, and steam table
- Inform kitchen staff when frontline food quantities are low
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and relay information to guests
- Process sales through the register
- Collect payment and make change
- Keep the food service area clean, including patios, tables, chairs, etc.
- Relay relevant comments from guests directly to supervisor
- Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards the client, guests, and staff
- Communicate clearly and openly with all staff members for overall success
- Display a sense of urgency at all times
- Uphold a professional appearance and mannerism
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Follow health and safety practices at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Complete all other duties as requested
- These responsibilities are not limited to the daily operations & may receive additional team work instructed by your leadership team.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required for applicants over 18 years of age not currently attending school
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Diligent cash handling abilities
- Operate all equipment necessary to perform job duties
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (up to 50 lbs.) of merchandise throughout the facility and perform all functions as set forth above
- Must be available to work evenings/weekends/holidays as needed
- Excel in customer service
- Must have Internet access
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServSafe certification
- Previous cashiering and/or line serving experience
Hours: Hours of operations: Monday – Sunday; we offer flexible scheduling!
