The Child Care Group Leader will create and implement developmentally appropriate  programs, activities and room set-ups on a daily basis in a fun and nurturing environment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate these promptly to all child care aides & substitutes in the classroom
  • Ensure the safety and well being of children at all times
  • Communicate with children on their level in a positive and age appropriate manner to ensure their well being and growth
  • Attend to children's personal needs including changing diapers/clothes, potty training, helping problem solve and positive discipline strategies
  • Positive communication with parents, children, director and co-workers ie, greeting in the am/goodbyes in the pm, discussion of problems or concerns of individual children, parent/teacher meetings, safety concerns, other school issues or concerns
  • Maintain a safe, clean and healthy classroom and playground
  • Provide excellent guest service
  • Must be a good team player and be patient with children, co-workers and parents
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Teacher letter from State of Colorado - required
  • High School or Equivalent Education - required
  • Basic internet navigation - required
  • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken and written) - required
  • Excellent guest service skills - required
  • Excellent communication skills - required
  • Must work well in a team - required
  • Must be willing and able to change diapers - required
  • Must successfully complete all Background Checks and physical - required
  • Must complete 15 hours of on-going training annually
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather in a high alpine environment
  • Must have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directions
  • Must be available to work some holidays
  • Must be able to start work promptly at 7:30 a.m. and work a 10 hour day.
  • Must be able to lift a minimal of 35 lbs
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience working with children under age 5
  • First Aid, CPR and Standard Precautions
