IT SCCM Engineer (Contract 3 to 6 months)

Chipotle is hiring a Microsoft SCCM/Configuration Contractor responsible for assisting with the design, architecture, deployment, and operations of Microsoft’s configuration center suite. Powershell and Windows OS experience are crucial in this position.

In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•Assist in architecting and designing a resilient and highly available SCCM deployment that will support Chipotle’s rapid growth

•Work with the restaurant and QA teams to design a platform and process for managing, refreshing, and maintaining restaurant lab environments

•Identify configurations that are not considered “enterprise grade” and lead cross functional teams to design sustainable and supportable solutions that scale

•Identify processes that are currently being done manually, or inefficiently, and find ways to automate (Via SCCM, Powershell, Chef, etc.) their configuration and remediation

•Help package applications for initial SCCM rollout

•Help deploy infrastructure for imaging and overall

•Work closely with Restaurant, Server, Enterprise Architecture, and Application Support teams to add configuration efficiencies and automation to existing business processes

•Work with restaurant operations teams to provide visibility into the health and configuration consistency of restaurants

•Ensuring smooth implementation of new applications and changes to systems through sound testing procedures, capacity planning, and impact analyses

•Creating, maintaining, documenting, and communicating policies and procedures for infrastructure systems and core business applications

•Mentor and train junior administrators and operations specialists on enterprise configuration standards

•Be experienced in implementing, and maintaining the SCCM suite in large scale enterprise organizations. This can include, but not limited to:

•Application and packaging update deployments

•Orchestration integration packs

•Patch management

•Configuration file and registry management

•Reporting and auditing around all configuration items

•Have exposure to operationalizing tasks and responsibilities around SCCM. This can include but is not limited to:

•Handing off tasks to lower level teams

•Providing granular permissions for different team responsibilities

•Create actionable reports and provide associated training to staff members on remediation actions

•Have experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products

•Have strong scripting knowledge (Powershell) and an disposition towards automation whenever possible

•Be able to multi-task and serve as a project lead or team player in a fast-paced environment with the ability to help out in areas outside of expertise if necessary

•Have the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects

•Be a motivated self-started who can work independently on tasks and projects

•Possess a B.A. /B.S. in related field or an equivalent in education and experience with six (6) years’ experience working with central systems hardware and software, as well as basic project management

•Have a certification in an area of expertise (MCSE, MCSA, RHCE, VCP, etc.) preferred

•Be available for limited on-call duties requiring after-hours work
