Automation Personnel Services is seeking a top notch highly experienced Test Technician who will work in a development team environment with a positive attitude and teamwork spirit for an international HF Controls company in Carrollton, Texas who specializes in the design and construction of digital control systems for a variety of power and industrial applications.
Summary:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of engineering work in testing and analysis of instruments and systems, combustion products, electrical equipment, and microprocessor-based control systems.
Work is performed more or less independently within standardized practices and procedures and general work instructions; work is subject to peer review.
Variable environments, changing deadlines and project assignments.
Responsibilities:
1. Tests components and systems within federal, state and local codes and regulations, contract specifications, good engineering practices, and HF Controls standards.
2. Wiring and assembly diagrams, standard products, logic drawings and graphics, etc.
3. Checks documentation from drafting to ensure accuracy and completeness in compliance with all relevant codes, standards and specifications.
4. Complies with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
Qualifications:
1-5 years related, applicable experience.
Ability to handle non-routine, standard projects and tasks under general supervision.
Ability to effectively interact with managers, supervisor, peers, customers and suppliers.
Good understanding of electrical, software and mechanical concepts and usage.
Ability to Troubleshoot down to the component level.
Ability to develop, read and interpret wiring schematics.
Ability to utilize standard engineering software tools.
$18-$20 per hour, DOE
