Machine Field Service Technician

A leading manufacturer of industrial machinery for processing thermoplastics is seeking a service technician. Requirements include good mechanical background, a basic understanding of electrical work and the importance of safe work practices. Some direct interaction with the customer is involved. Applicant should have good interpersonal skills and be professional and courteous in nature.

Typical job tasks:
- Start up and service of plastic recycling machines
- visiting customer plant sites
- troubleshooting mechanical / electrical problems on industrial machinery
- performing all levels of maintenance
- maintaining documentation
- assisting with basic customer support
- Customer training
Training will be provided both at factory and in the field. Competitive salary and benefits program is offered.

Requirements
- Electrical and Mechanical experience
- Willingness to travel throughout North America
- This is a heavy travel position (up to 75%).
- Solution oriented, independent and well self-organized
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, ERP software)
- Experience in PLC Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley is a plus
- Experience in plastic extrusion industry is a plus
- Passport or the ability to get one

Education:
A minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
Associates Degree in Technical discipline is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
