Responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal work pieces to blueprint specifications by following tooling instructions and standard charts and applying knowledge of grinding procedures while under the general supervision of the machine shop supervisor and department leads. Handles drilling, de-burring, spot welding, and any misc. tasks required by sheet metal shop.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of such as grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels to be used.
Use small hand tools, measuring tools and drill motors.
Operation of various machines in Sheet Metal Dept.
Preparation and completion of custom enclosures.
Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in your employee handbook.
Perform other duties/tasks as assigned.
