BASIC FUNCTION:
The Business Assistant will work closely with the Chairman to provide support in his day-to-day management of the portfolio, general financial matters, investment opportunities and family office affairs. S/He will receive broad based exposure to the full spectrum of financial and strategic issues, including M&A, debt financings, and transactional due diligence. By working with the Chairman and gaining exposure to high level investment management on a daily basis, this role offers comprehensive, well rounded financial and investment experience with the opportunity for growth overtime.
REPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct support to the Chairman in the following areas:
Creating 10K &10Q top sheets
Preparing presentations, meeting materials and status updates for the Chairman
Relevant industry research
Prepping and attending meetings with the Chairman as needed
Building and analyzing financial modeling
Tracking the performance of the portfolio companies
Ad hoc projects
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree with a major/concentration in finance, math, accounting, or economics
A minimum of 1+ years post graduate work experience
Experience at a top investment bank and/or private equity firm and strong transactional experience
A comprehensive understanding of markets, M&A and operations
A strong analytical mind, attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow
Advanced financial modeling and data analysis skills
Interest and aptitude to become a subject matter expert in diverse sectors and progressive technologies
Self-starter with strong research and project management skills
Ability to work with speed and accuracy in a high pressure environment
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills
