If so, the Site Director position at AlphaBEST, in our Prince William County Elementary and Middle schools, is perfect for you! We offer teacher training, competitive salary, and benefits. Program hours are 5:45 a.m - 9:15 a.m and 2:45 p.m - 6:30 p.m, averaging 32-38 hours per week. Locations are: Bristow, Nokesville, Haymarket, Gainesville In this exciting role, your key responsibilities include: Child Safety and Supervision: Adheres to the policies and procedures in a pro-active manner, making the safety and care of children a primary focus. * Understands and adheres to licensing regulations/standards, such as reporting child incidents and proper health and hygiene procedures. * Provides oversight in emergency situations such as evacuation procedures and CPR/First Aid. * Continuously monitors environment, including outside play areas to maintain a safe and healthy site. * Reports suspected child abuse and neglect in accordance with mandated reporter guidelines. * Stays apprised of child-related food allergies, special needs and other medically sensitive conditions. * Reports to Area Manager any concerns regarding child behavior, sickness, health-related observations, accidents or incidents requiring medical attention or matters that should be reported to the parents. * Provides oversight to staff who provide accommodations to students with special needs, such as non-English-speaking students or those with physical and mental disabilities. * Ensures accurate record keeping of enrollment/snack, daily records, and any other required documents to Area Manager. * Inspects on a daily basis all facilities, equipment, and supplies to ensure all are accounted for and put away at the end of each day. * Recognizes potential issues and applies established procedures and problem solving methods as needed. * Adheres to school district's on-site safety expectations, implements the safety plan at the site, and carries out the monthly drill to be tracked on-site in emergency drill logs and assessments. * Supervises and provides support for the backpack/lunch storage system and maintains accurate meal records for daily reporting (where applicable). * Responsible for immediately reporting and documenting any and all injuries or incidents utilizing established procedures for notification to parents and regional leadership. * Manages monthly, or as needed, the site calendar completion, supply order requests, binder set-up, enrollment rosters, and emergency contact information. * Is familiar with state requirements and emergency procedures and notifies the Area Manager of suspected violations or concerns. * Manages the overall condition of the space, eating areas, and other program space that are used on a regular basis (i.e. safe, clean, and neat). Talent/Student Management: Supervises, trains, mentors, coaches, and manages all staff and students in the program at the site. Provides monthly goals to support site staff as contribution to professional development in order to grow and retain superior talent. * Manages the onboarding and development of staff in order to minimize external recruiting and is able to retain staff to minimize turnover. * Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures in compliance with state regulations. * Manages, mentors, and coaches Zone Leaders/Teacher Assistants by demonstrating expected behaviors, disseminating required knowledge, and assisting with skill development. * Builds a successful and cohesive team by providing collaborative opportunities, establishing and maintaining good working relationships, and utilizing effective conflict management techniques to accomplish team goals. * Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks. Performs annual evaluations of Zone Leaders to assess yearly performance. * Educates staff members on the requirements and procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect. * Works effectively and cooperatively with team members, including subordinates, superiors, and peers. * Accurately completes and submits time cards/payroll records, incident reports, rosters, receipts, and all other program related records in accordance with established policies. * Reports all absences, no-call/no-show, tardiness, or requests for time off to the Area Manager. * Supports and implements human resource policies and procedures. * Coaches and supports staff development in order to build a creative, innovative, service oriented culture. Builds and supports a culture where Zone Leaders are personally accountable and demonstrate pride in their work. * Maintains effective communication with Zone Leaders and assists with decision making as needed. Holds Zone Leaders accountable through regular communication, feedback, and guidance. * Articulates clear standards and expectations, asks questions and actively listens, and gives timely effective feedback. * Actively participates in the delivery of staff orientation, training and staff meetings. Works to maintain availability to the staff, parents and children, during program hours. * Maintains building safety; handles equipment inspections. Reports concerns to the appropriate party, regarding child behavior, sickness, health-related observations, accidents or incidents requiring medical attention. * Responsible for creating open and ongoing communication with parents. * Responsible for exercising discretion maintaining Program and student/family information on a confidential basis. * Supports formal and informal evaluation of program effectiveness. * Works with, develops, leads, mentors, and supervises youth ages 5 to 13 in small and large group settings. * Holds staff accountable to weekly and monthly expectations as established by the Director of Operations and Regional Director. * Works collaboratively with site based team to implement zones that reinforce program success and objectives. * Leads and supervises fitness activities, monitors behavior, oversees curriculum activities and performs housekeeping responsibilities. * Communicates effectively and in a professional manner with school administrators, school staff and parents on a regular basis regarding program activities and all other stakeholders. * Makes programmatic changes based on organizational requirements. * Conveys messages regarding organizational policies, procedures and practices. * Recognizes potential issues and applies established procedures and problem solving methods as needed. * Observes staff and student behavior, assesses its appropriateness and applies the appropriate behavior management technique, positive redirection, or corrective action as necessary in order to support positive behavior choices. * Communicates with area manager, staff, parents, and school administration on a regular basis regarding program activities. * Designs a site program schedule/calendar together with site team that includes a variety of educational, enrichment, and recreational activities that align with the AlphaBEST INZONE Modules and school district requirements. * Observes, monitors, coaches, trains and provides feedback to staff around programming to ensure all zones are implemented as designed and with fidelity. * Understands and maintains in-depth knowledge of current curriculum utilized in the sites and is able to communicate zone objectives, as well as a clear understanding of instructional strategies, positive behavior supports and programming management best practices. * Ensures supply needs are met at the site and materials are monitored, kept safe and in good repair while being accessible to students. Equipment inventories are tracked, maintained and accounted for. Fiscal Responsibility, Program and Records Management: Understands the organization's financial processes. Stays within budget to achieve desired results and maintains records in a professional and confidential manner. * Monitors site expenditures related to snack and supply purchases. * Works with Area Manager to determine maximum enrollment potential. Monitors capacity throughout the year to maintain maximum enrollment. * Maintains a weekly financial control system, which includes monitoring of billing, monitoring of payments, collection, storage and tracking of money orders, and notifying parents of delinquent accounts. * Ensures all appropriate records such as enrollment packet, attendance documents, emergency evacuation procedures, health and safety procedures, and all records for identified staff members are maintained and updated. * Monitors staff/child ratios and maintains appropriate staffing ratios to reduce unnecessary labor costs. * Works with Area Manager to analyze InSite Reports (Revenue, Target Enrollment, Accounts Receivables, Labor) and adjusts business practices accordingly. * Assists families with enrollment and payment processes. * Awareness of and adherence to site budget and purchase card process. * Maintains comprehensive student and staff records and produces reports as required. * Monitors and collects fees associated with fee based programs. * Enrolls students in accordance with the state licensing and contractual requirements and maintains all necessary attendance and member records for contract compliance. * Assists in marketing of programs for growth and retention. Stakeholder Satisfaction: Builds strategic working relationships and maintains high levels of parent, student, staff, contractor/district and school satisfaction throughout all sites. * Recognizes parent, school, and staff concerns; develops a course of action to reassure and resolve problems appropriately. * Schedules formal meetings with staff to share program related information. * Treats others with courtesy, sensitivity, and respect.
