You will work for Vantage Apparel, a midsize manufacturer, is the nation’s top source for custom logo apparel, with key end clients including Fortune 500 companies, resorts, golf courses, colleges, and casinos. If you’ve been to a store that has employees wearing shirts with logos, there is a very good chance that the product or logo decoration was done by Vantage Apparel. We’ve been the leading innovator in the promotional apparel industry since 1977, and we are looking to hire a Shipping Supervisor to join our award-winning team.

 

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating and directing the shipping department. This position is key to ensuring our customers receive their goods on a timely basis. Attention to detail is a very important to the success of this role, as is a knowledge of the customers and shipping methods used. He or she will build the team, and manage staff to create and maintain a high quality culture. 

 

The Shipping Supervisor will:

 
•       Own the timely shipping out of all goods.
 
•       Demonstrate superior communication skills in order to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and external customers.
 
•       Provide team leadership and guidance daily, ensuring high levels of quality, productivity and associate involvement and ownership, and identifying issues and resolution.
 
•       Build and manage an effective team, one that possesses a high sense of urgency and a high level of cross-functional collaboration, driving desired results.
 
•       Create and implement standard operating systems and processes that encompass both high-level leadership goals and more granular technical skills.
 
•       Audit self and team on a regular basis in an effort towards continuous improvement, accept ing and giving feedback, and fostering a trusting workplace environment with open, respectful and honest communication.
 
•       Create and maintain impeccable plant standards and conditions.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

The ideal candidate will possess:

•   The ability to collaborate as a team player, and interact successfully with people at all levels within and outside of the organization in support of larger goals and objectives. 

•   Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

•   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

•   The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

•   H.S. Diploma/G.E.D – some college preferred

•   Must be a licensed pallet jack and/or forklift operator.

•   Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

•   Knowledge of various shipping platforms.
