Caregiver for Elderly - Full-time / Part-time

Caring Hearts is an established medium size community in West San Jose, close to Campbell, and up from Santana Row. We are near major freeways and several steps from bus stops. With over a decade of experience, we have an organized process, regular training, an emphasis on team work, and open communication to help our staff stay healthy and happy.

We are in search of compassionate caregivers who understand the importance of meeting client needs in a loving high quality manner. No experience necessary but a caring heart a must! We are looking for committed individuals who are team players and have good communication skills. Our caregivers have a reputation for being cheerful and receptive when providing care for our clients. Hours are great if you are you interested in becoming a caregiver, looking for more experience while pursuing a health care related degree/certificate, or just need additional hours.

Full-time positions available: Tue-Sat 6:30a-3:30p

                                              Su-T, Th-F 7a-4p

Part-time positions available:  Fri/Sat  3:30p-12a

                                               Sat-Mon NOC 12a-8:30a

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist clients with needs per care plan (ex. personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, lift/transfers)

* Assist with meals, taking medications, and other incidental needs

* Provide assigned housekeeping and laundry services

* Maintain cleanlinest and safety of facility

* Engage with clients throughout the day in a team effort to enhance daily life & well-being

* Document and report 

Essential Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age

* Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English

* Effective communication skills

* Recognizes the needs of others and willing to lend a helping hand

* Must successfully complete a TB skin test or chest x-ray, State fingerprint & FBI background check, Health Screening, First Aid certified, *CPR (for swing and NOC shift)

* Ability to lift or shift at least 30lbs

* Ability to be on your feet, walk, squat, push, pull
