Santoni’s Marketplace & Catering is seeking a, high energy and motivated individual to join our team as a Part time Kitchen Grill Cook. The successful candidate will produce the highest quality product for the catering & deli departments. Our Grill Cooks will be expected to fill in to cover the hot spots in both the hot & cold kitchen and assist with catering prep work as necessary. We are looking for that special person who is organized, eager and consistently exceeds customer expectations by the ability to WOW & DELIGHT them in every aspect of the Santoni's/Customer experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for functioning efficiently and effectively in the kitchen (hot, cold, grill, etc.);
  • Responsible for producing top quality soups, sauces and stocks for catering and retail needs;
  • Ensures economical food production and minimizes waste through proper cutting techniques and utilization of excess product;
  • Produces all items for ‘Meals to Go’ case while maintaining a full and attractive display;
  • Produces foods for deli and catering according to daily prep sheet;
  • Assisting in other duties, as assigned.

Skills Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail;
  • Demonstrates ability to utilize kitchen equipment according to departmental protocol;
  • Must demonstrate a high energy approach to the position with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively;
  • Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure;
  • Self-motivated with a strong aptitude and desire to learn;
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with a team and to motivate others;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department including nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or its equivalent. Must be 18 years or older. 2 to 3 years grill and/or line cook experience or comparable food service industry experience preferred.
