Our Vision for this Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Corporate Integration Services Solution Delivery team. Using knowledge of industry best practices you will be accountable for managing projects across our rapidly growing North American, Canadian, and European divisions. The PM will ensure that all assigned projects are managed in accordance to TJX standards, processes and best practices. This will include but is not limited to following the TJX project request and intake processes, managing project estimation, timelines, resources, budgets, artifacts, issues and risks and communications. A primary goal is to complete these projects with quality, on time and on budget.

The Responsibilities for this position:
  • Accountable for delivering new capabilities that drive business results on one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex IT projects and/or programs from initialization through project close
  • Accountable for project financials, including baselines, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Solution Delivery organizations, program leadership and other partner organizations to create the project charter for Integration projects, recommends an optimized, saleable solution approach to projects during initialization phase.
  • Ensure process adherence to Integration delivery process
  • Defines project quality and success criteria. Performs peer document assessments and reviews
  • Responsible for creating, monitoring, tracking and reporting detailed project plans, including work breakdown structure, and identified critical path.
  • Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. Identifies and solves project issues.
  • Manage & coordinate onsite & offshore integration deliverables
  • Drive status review meetings with onsite & offshore team during off business hours
  • Efficiently manage comprehensive integration deployment planning and execution activities
  • Effectively partners and influences in order to deliver scalable, optimized solutions
  • Leads project and/or program activities following defined methodology (SDP/SDLC) and reports on status to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, within approved budget, and provides desired business value
  • Assigns and supervises multiple, concurrent tasks and properly assesses priorities of assigned activities and ensures integration of all dependent projects
  • Responsible for timely and effective project communications including stakeholder and sponsor interactions, meeting management, and reporting.
  • Complies with Sarbanes Oxley and PCI
  • Manages project change control process with business sponsor ensuring any requested changes to scope are reviewed to assess impact on schedule, cost and resources
  • Develops project or program strategies and enterprise level project plans and ensures that they align to the TJX business strategy
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Expertise with financial, retail, human resource, or logistics systems
  • Experience with MS office suite, MS Project, MS Visio
  • Project management experience in agile methodologies a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of conceptual architectures a plus. (Web, Client-server, Real-time Integration, SOA, SCA/SDO).
  • Experience managing projects with the IBM products tied to Middleware a plus:
    • IBM Integration Bus (IIB)
    • WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition (WSFTE)
    • Data Power
    • WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSSR)
    • Tools, methodologies, Best Practices for Enterprise Architecture Integration (EAI) and techniques.
    • WebSphere ODM and BPM
  • Experience in managing large & critical projects; preferably in the integration area
  • Broad-based knowledge of the IT industry and trends.
  • Ability to balance financial; architectural; business and IS objectives.
  • Ability to execute and get things done.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 5 or more years of experience as a project manager preferred.
