Solution Developer III - ETL

Responsibilities:

• Develop ETL solution in highly demanding environment and provide hands on guidance to other team members
• Collect ETL requirements and design ETL solution.
• Set governance and standards for ETL architecture
• Assess requirements for completeness and accuracy.
• Determine if requirements are actionable for ETL team.
• Conduct impact assessment and determine size of effort based on requirements.
• Develop full SDLC project plans to implement ETL solution and identify resource requirements.
• Perform as active, leading role in shaping and enhancing overall ETL architecture.
• Identify, recommend and implement ETL process and architecture improvements.
• Assist and verify design of solution and production of all design phase deliverables.
• Manage build phase and quality assure code to ensure fulfilling requirements and adhering to ETL architecture.
• Resolve difficult design and development issues.
• Making sure that the metadata information is right, legal and reclaimable
• Owning the architectural production actions related to ETL projects
• Supervising and guiding ETL architectural implements
• Coordinate with Enterprise architecture team to implement all ETL solution for all new projects and maintain effective awareness of all production activities according to required standards and provide support to all existing applications from architecture point of view.
• Collaborate with Metadata Manager and perform tests and provide update to all ETL activities within schedule, provide support, and assist in data processing.
• Documents all technical and system specifications documents for all ETL processes.

Requirements:

• 7 – 10 years of systems and technical architecture analysis, design, implementation, and support of manual and automated database systems and technical architectures for ETL solutions.
• 5 - 7 years, or equivalent retails systems experience, as an ETL Architect.
• Has successfully designed and implemented large-scale data warehouse ETL solutions
• Has the ability to communicate and formally document all aspects of the job requirements
• Expert knowledge facilitating and hands-on experience in architecting ETL solution.
• Experienced in playing a leadership and mentoring role in ETL solution delivery.
• Knowledge of industry standard middleware, ETL, master data hub, and service oriented architecture, design and delivery solutions.
• Exhibits a high energy, strategic thinking, results oriented, global collaborative approach with highly tuned listening and communication skills
• General understanding of common development languages and frameworks within the Systems development toolset
• Business analysis, and a strong domain knowledge of a global retail business a plus
• Implementing Big Data ETL solutions is a plus.
• Implementing ETL solution using Java and shell scripts is a plus.
• Hadoop based ETL tool experience is a plus.
• IMB datastage ETL hands on experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
