About this job

Job Description:

  • Source Candidates through various platforms for all field and administrative personnel
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and advertisements
  • Screen resumes, conduct candidate pre-interviews by telephone
  • Participate in job fairs and conduct-in person interviews
  • Process background checks and drug screenings
  • Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork or termination paperwork is filled out and properly processed
  • Maintain HR and personnel files in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws
  • Enter and maintain employee information in various databases
  • Administer Employee Handbook
  • Assist with benefit enrollments and inquiries along with 401K plan administration and other health benefits
  • Process unemployment claims, MSN's, IWO's, and other wage garnishment orders
  • Manager workers compensation claims
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
  • Manage I-9 documentation; become E-verify certified and run all new & rehires through E-verify
  • Reconcile monthly insurance invoices
  • OSHA compliance, Safety training
  • Prepare, create and maintain reports as needed
  • DOT compliance
  • Assist with other HR functions and office administrative tasks assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience
  • Bachelors degree in HR or related discipline and//or combination of work/education
  • Recruiting expiring preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
