Optical Applications Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Aerotek is hiring an Applications Engineer!

Engineer will become the "expert users" of polishing and metrology products. Individual will perform technology demonstrations for new customers; provide service/support for existing customers, train customers and internal personnel, and support process-related activities for other departments (Sales & Marketing, Engineering, R&D, etc.)

Qualified Candidates

• Experience in optical fabrication is preferred (generating, grinding, lapping, polishing, sub-aperture polishing, ion beam figuring, magnetorheological finishing, interferometry, other forms of optical testing of Plano, spheres, aspheres).
  
• Experience in data analysis, experimental design, statistical analysis, and frequency analysis is required.
  
• Ability and willingness to travel ~20% of the time to client sites.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's/Master's in Optical Engineering or closely related discipline (Master's strongly preferred)
• Expertise in precision metrology
• Expertise in measurement of optics
