Assistant Supervisor

Assistant Supervisor for a large plastics company in Leola, PA which manufactures a variety of products. Shift is 12mid-8am. Work on a 4 week rotating schedule including some weekends.

• Responsible for checking that machines are set up and operating correctly and employees are assigned as needed to work stations
• Responsible for overseeing various aspects including input, output, set-up, maintenance, and quality.
• Responsible for assisting mechanics with problems in trouble shooting and repair of machinery as needed.
• Responsible for ensuring employees are maximizing efficiency and meeting expectations in regards to production quantity and quality.
• Responsible for product safety, quality & legality

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the fair and equal treatment of all employees and candidates with regard to all aspects of employment, regardless of any protected characteristics.
• Responsible for first line supervision of personnel.
• Responsible for all supervisory functions in absence of supervisor.
• Responsible for coordinating lunch and rest-breaks for personnel.
• Responsible for checking schedule for line priority and scheduling personnel accordingly.
