Automation Technician - PLC/HMI Technician/Programmer - Full-time / Part-time

This project is focused on Standby Support for Control Systems that have been deployed. Standby Support is contractually required by the customer for any new systems and software that is deployed in their facilities.

Starting up on or about March 26, 2018 and will run approximately 4-8 weeks.

**4 - 8 week contract assignment **

Key Contractor Responsibilities:

1. Show up on time! It is so critical that there is a company representative on site before each sort.
2. This person will work mainly in the control room at each facility. The whole facility is monitored from that room.
3. If any issues arise during the sort, COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE KEY. They must communicate with personnel, email project team engineers that integrated the system, the project manager, and VP of Engineering
4. Troubleshoot any issues to the best of their ability. Many times it is a hardware issue such as: failed photo eye, failed drive, drive off the network etc.
5. Provide a detailed report for every shift.

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering Degrees are highly preferred
• 1-2 years Experience with Allen Bradley Controllogix hardware and RS Logix Software
• Familiarity with sortation system hardware such as Powerflex Variable Frequency Drives, Photoeyes, bar code readers etc.
• Familiarity with Ethernet communications
