Job Description:

Purpose

This position will report to the Commercial Director of Export and is responsible for supporting the Commercial, E-Comm, and the Pro Services teams within the stores to assist in the Export sales process within the guidelines of the Export SOP. This person will be responsible for insuring accuracy and compliance or our Export SOP. They will work closely with the Inside Commercial Team members as necessary to support the commercial jobs requiring export. The person will assist the stores on processing and filing the AES with US Customs and Border Protection, and other activities associated with the support to close Export transactions. The person in this role will serve as a conduit between the stores and the Freight Forwarder, Consolidators & Shipping Companies, to include the Delivery companies. In addition, he/she will assist in the education of the Export process utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and maintain the store locations in compliance and maintain the companies’ compliance folder on the share drive.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s degree preferred)
• 1-2 years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
• Experience working in a retail environment a plus
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions

• Receive and process requests for Export sales purchases from the stores
• Validate all needed items, answer any questions and present to the Store Support Center (SSC) teams for a decision and/or further action(s)
• Communicate with store to obtain additional information if needed prior to a final decision being made
• Follow-up with the SSC and stores key dates to complete the Export and satisfy the customer.
• Work with the purchasing and inventory teams to procure product currently available or if a special purchase order (PO) if needed
• Partner with the SSC logistics team to coordinate special delivery requests if needed
• Assist the SSC Pro Services team with additional projects as needed
• File all US Customs & Border Protection documentation (AES)
• Travel from time to time and attend sales meetings
• Communicate and follow up with store Pro Associates and Export clients

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Sedentary Work – Ability to exert 10 - 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
