Position Title: Administrator I Aviation Maintenance
Position Location: Salisbury, NC
Position Summary:
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Aviation Maintenance Manager and Director of Aviation. This position usually includes administrative duties and actual maintenance and repair.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
> Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of parts on the aircraft;
> Maintains shop and hanger tools and equipment;
> Ensures compliance with ADs
> Ensures safe maintenance and line operations;
> Ensures the quality of aircraft, engine and avionics maintenance and repair;
> Assists with development of department policies;
> Helps coordinate activities of the Maintenance Department with flight operations;
> Assist in establishing schedules for periodic inspections, general overhaul, repairs and modifications;
> Provide efficient and timely scheduling of all maintenance and repairs;
> Assist in establishing and maintaining records as required by FARs, manufacturers and company policy;
> Monitors established records, if maintained by an outside agency;
> Assist in establishing maintenance safety rules and procedures;
> Assist in establishing spares and ground support equipment inventories;
> Assist with establishing proper aircraft handling procedures;
> Monitor security and environmental affairs, including completing material safety data sheets on all chemicals, fire drills and safety training;
> Assist with development or changes of minimum equipment list (MEL) and non essential furnishings list (NEF) maintenance procedures;
> Assist in performing or scheduling maintenance and upkeep of the aviation hanger and office facility;
> Refueling of the aircraft;
> Perform routine and general maintenance to aviation fueling system;
> Perform cabin, cockpit, washing and detailing of company aircraft. RequirementsBasic Qualifications:
> Must have broad knowledge of standard aircraft maintenance practices; and a general knowledge with respect to the aircraft class, category and type which the company operates.
> FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate
