Part-time (Only 16 hours/week)
Major functions and deliverables include:
Process and review semi-monthly payroll for all U.S. based Partners, regular full-time and part-time staff and foreign nationals (Expatriates).
Process all retro salary and deductions amounts as required due to life event changes and for new hires.
Calculate and process quarterly payments for retiring MDs.
Verify and process all requested changes to payroll deductions (401K, family medical coverage, transit program, flexible spending accounts, Life Insurance and Long Term Disability), as well processing changes to personal taxes and direct deposit
IPAY administration
Liaise with Accounting Services to ensure general ledger accounts for payroll are posted correctly.
Audit and maintain payroll data including demographics, compensation (salary, bonus, special bonus and over-time); deductions for taxes, benefits (401K, Medical coverage, Transit program, Flexible spending accounts, Life Insurance and Long term Disability). Create and audit payroll semi-monthly reports (employee change report).
Prepare data for clients for production of quarterly consolidated 401K and pension statements.
Prepare the Worker's Compensation, STD and LTD forms for processing.
Prepare the semi- monthly 401K Data Transmittal form for Merrill Lynch.
Prepare wage and tax reporting
Process Overtime, (data grabbed from PS and upload to ADP), as well missing timesheets reconciliation.
Add new hired employees to ADP.
Process employee transfers and terminations.
Process payroll amendments or adjustments as needed, (via out of sequence payroll or amendments process through ADP).
W2 -- review and distribution/mailing out.
Participate in the Workers Compensation audit
Maintain records and filing.
Requirements:
Experience including experience with wage and tax reporting, administration and financial reporting as it relates to payroll.
Complete understanding of full-cycle, multi-state payroll, benefits, Flex Spending and 401k payroll and tax treatment, applicable wage and hour laws, strong excel skills to maintain benefits, bonus and vacation accrual spreadsheets and prepare payroll data for benefit statements and other reporting activities.
Must have solid understanding of journal entries to the general ledger and reconcile all related payroll GL accounts.
Must be able to multi-task and be able to meet deadlines. Must use sound business judgment and be able to communicate at all levels of the company. Must possess excellent time management skills; must know Excel at the intermediate level and have meticulous attention to detail.
Customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude is a must. This position interacts with all staff throughout the company at all levels and with outside vendors. Experience with ADP's Work Force Now is a plus.
