Summary/Responsibilities of this position:
The Stock Controller assists the Grocery Manager with the essential duties and responsibilities of the department. The Stock Controller keeps the grocery department clean and organized, stock shelves, refills displays, writes grocery orders, and receives and verifies incoming shipments.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Serves as a backup to department manager in absence of ADM.
* Assisting customers in locating product and answering product questions
* Load, unload and move heavy, bulky products
* Provides work direction, motivation and training to other department personnel
* Performs duties of Stock Control Representative and Stock Control Specialist as needed
* 3-6 months prior stocking experience preferred
* Solid communication skills
* Previous customer service experience preferred
* Ability to work well with others
* Basic reading and writing English skills
* Organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work overnight schedule
* Able to operate pallet jack/baler
* Forklift/Powerjack Training
Requirements:
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Ability to provide work direction, motivation, and training to other dept. personnel
* Perform duties of Stock Control Representative

* Ability to work through stressful situations
* Computer skills: Symbol, IMS, Exporter, E-mail
