Our Vision for this Role

As a Trade Compliance Analyst you’ll be an expert in your field, providing guidance and expertise to various areas of our business. You will help classify our ever-changing assortment of merchandise: apparel, footwear, accessories, food, bath & body and home furnishings. Working in a fast-paced retail business, no day will be the same!

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze new product mix offerings and determine correct importing requirements for US Customs, FDA, Fish & Wildlife
  • Administer internal audit processes to ensure product import accuracy
  • Respond to inquiries from customs brokers, government agencies, global buying offices, and vendors.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining procedural documentation.
The Skills that will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of import experience
  • Licensed custom broker preferred, or willingness to obtain license
  • Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and researches customs rulings and compliance publications to stay relevant
  • Ability to determine the proper tariff classification of imported merchandise and the proper PGA import entry clearance data requirements.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with your internal and external partners: Merchandising, Product Development, Logistics, Global Buying Offices and Vendors.
  • Thrives in an ambiguous environment
  • Curious, wants to learn our business model and leverages this knowledge on the job to build strong cases when classifying items.
