Our Vision for this Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst on the Supply Chain Strategy and Planning team you are a strategic partner to our global supply chain team. You’ll provide the critical analysis and develop the tools and processes which will support the global supply chain goals and objectives. You will work with cross-departmental partners and gain exposure to C-suite executive leaders. Ensuring we get the right product, to the right place, at the right time. Working in a fast-paced retail business, no day will be the same!

You will be assigned a mix of core responsibilities as well as special projects which will optimize logistics operational performance, drive cost savings and build the necessary tools and capabilities to support our continued growth:
  • Gathers data to produce operational and financial analysis to include key performance indicator reporting for domestic logistics operations management.
  • Works closely with divisional financial control and distribution services groups weekly, monthly and annual on key assumptions and domestic freight forecast drivers.
  • Participates in quarterly SOX compliance audit.
  • Evaluates new opportunities for cost control and process improvement and develops recommendations and solutions for process and system improvements.
  • Supports process/ reporting development and special project initiatives as required.
  • Develops, maintains and enhances forecasting tools for collaborative planning and volume forecasting models including, but not limited to, Global Logistics Operations Management, Steamship lines, Customs Broker and Logistics Service Providers
  • Compiles and prepares reports, charts and graphs as developed and recommends changes in financial analysis methods and procedures. Presents to domestic logistics operations leadership and divisional financial control groups weekly and monthly.
The Skills that will Make You Successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations Management or Accounting preferred with 3+ years of applicable experience; strong forecasting and analytical experience.
  • Highly analytical approach to problem solving, leveraging their exceptional Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; product moves quickly through our supply chain network, it is important to react quickly to incoming requests.
  • High aptitude for manipulating and making inferences from data.
  • Ability to develop new tools and processes to support TJX global supply chain goals and objectives.
  • Build decision support / business tools, such as “what-if” models.
  • Report and analyze actual Global Logistics costs and perform routine variance analysis between planned and actual results.
  • A self-director who can manage their own timelines and set priorities
  • Strong Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills; no day is the same in off-price retail, the ability to assess situations quickly and provide alternate solutions is key to success.
  • Ability to influence others without authority and an agile learner.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships
