Critical Care (ICU) Clinical Coordinator, Registered Nurse(RN) Terre Haute Regional Hospital is looking for a self-motivated and driven Critical Care RN to join our awesome Critical Care team! Five years of Critical Care experience required, Two years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
This position provides operational support to the director and leadership to Critical Care Services personnel providing patient services.
Critical Care Services include the Intensive Care Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, and Telemetry.
Candidates must have excellent communication and organization skills, able to handle multiple priorities, make decisions under pressure and able handle stress appropriately. Ability to effectively manage personnel, operations, and scheduling.
Must be self-motivated and self-directed.
BSN preferred but must be obtained within two years of hire.

* Pursues own professional growth and development through obtaining/maintaining specialty certification, and seeks opportunities for growth.
* Under the direction of the director, assists managers and assures that orientation for employees is completed and in accordance with policy.
* Maintains flexibility in order to fill staffing gaps in work schedule.
Supports staff by providing patient care by taking a patient assignment as needed.
* Works with staff to identify educational and equipment needs, coach and manage performance skills, and develop leadership potential.
* Assists the director in the clinical quality of Critical Care Services being provided.
* Enforces department policies, procedures, protocols, regulations, and standards.
* Coordinates departmental PI program, outcomes management projects and other hospital initiatives as directed.
* Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruitment, orientation, retention, supervision, competency, and professional growth.
* Assists with planning yearly education calendar and provides ongoing educational activities and opportunities for staff members based on personnel needs.
* Assists with and provides input to the director for employee performance management plans.
* Coordinates and integrates services within the department and with other departments.
* Participates in appropriate hospital-wide committees where representation from Critical Care Services is necessary with direction from the director.
* Works with nursing staff and nursing leadership to ensure all nurse sensitive quality metrics (including core measures and HCAHPS) are maintained above the national/NDNQI benchmark through process improvement, reduction in practice variation, and evidence based practice.
Actively engages in Service Excellence initiatives.
* Mentors students, volunteers, staff and physicians on clinical issues and serves as a positive example to employees, patients, families.
* Provides leadership and support to all Critical Care Services staff in absence of director or manager. * Adheres to the Standards of Behavior for Terre Haute Regional Hospital as per the Customer Relations Policy Essential educational/licensure, skills and experience: * Must be a licensed, Registered Nurse * At least 5 years of experience in Intensive Care Unit.
* ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certified * Computer literacy & familiarity with nearly all Microsoft Office products.
* BSN preferred; must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
* Related nursing certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire. Certification must be maintained.
* Proficient oral and written skills.
