Registered Nurse, Critical Care-IMC (PRN) ( The RegisteredNurse Critical Care is a registered professional nurse who participates asan active member of the Nursing Team on the assigned unit/department.
Theregistered nurse assumes responsibility for coordinating safe, efficient, andtherapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the assignedunit/department.
Principle responsibilities include participating instrategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation andimplementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract complianceand quality improvement.
In addition, the registered nurse supportspatient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
Typical Duties (including but not limited to:) * The registered nurse may also work as aregistered professional nurse in the capacity of Charge RN in addition to beinga clinical nurse providing care for patients for an assigned time * The registered nurse maintains currentcompetency with nursing skills required for the assigned unit/department, anddemonstrates knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice inthe assigned area * The registered nurse demonstrates knowledge ofprinciples of growth & development over life span, and possesses theability to assess data reflective of patient status, and to interpret the dataappropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient's age * The registered nurse remains calm in crisis andemergency situations, and directs staff members as appropriate * The registered nurse maintains professional andeffective working relationships with all members of the Health Care Team MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Graduate of anaccredited school of nursing required Bachelor's degreestrongly preferred EXPERIENCE: Appropriate to patientpopulation and level of care; minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Nursing inan acute care facility CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: RN License BLS ACLS Basic ArrhythmiaRecognition (BAR)
