The role of the Registered Nurse is to perform care under the direction of the unit Nursing Leadership Team and the Program Director.
The registered nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Frankfort Regional Medical Center and in the support of the nursing mission, philosophy of Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He/She participates in patient education and rehabilitation and provides interpretation of treatment to the patient and the patient's family.
The RN coordinates the individualized patient plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare tea, supports all unit goals and initiatives and is accountable to implement all ordered evidence based interventions. Education: ADN required, BSN preferred Licensure/Certifications: Valid Kentucky Nurse Licensure, BLS, and CPI (within 30 days of hire) required.
ANCC certification in psychiatric mental health nursing preferred.
Experience: Preferred 1 year of acute psychiatric nursing experience.
