Job Description: Underthe direction of the Nursing Director or Supervisor, the Behavioral Health /Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery ofquality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning,implementation and evaluation.
The RN is responsible for directing allnursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice andfederal, state, and local regulations.
The RN incorporates knowledge ofpatient's age specific development and cultural diversity into the plan ofcare.
The RN contributes to quality nursing care through processimprovement techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration that demonstratespositive outcomes in the delivery of patient care.
Job may include directsupervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor.
Employee must have the same licensure or have completed the same training to satisfy the requirements of the discipline of the student.
Direct supervision means the primary caregiver is readily available to the studentthroughout the shift. Requirements: Education: RN Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing.
Licensure/Certification: * Florida RN License * CPI- Must be completed within 90 days of hire and then every calendar year.
* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association is required.
Experience: 1 yearexperience in an Behavioral Health preferred
