Job Description Theregistered nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing careof their assigned patients.
They arealso responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel.
The position requires intimate knowledge ofboth department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the deliveryof nursing care. Interpretive skills,frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management andsupervisory skills are inherent in the position.
The ability to retrieve, communicate orotherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion isessential.
The primary method to expressor exchange ideas is through the spoken word.
Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for theposition.
Requirements: * Graduationfrom an accredited school of professional nursing.
* Current Florida Nursing License.
* Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport for healthcare providers issued by the American Heart Associationrequired.
* NRP within 90 days * STABLE within 6 months of hire.
* Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within 90days of hire for nurses with >1 year of experience in L&D and within 1year of hire for nurses with <1 year of experience in L&D (does not needto be maintained once Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring is achieved). * AdvancedFetal Heart monitoring within two years of achieving intermediate (must be keptcurrent).
* Minimumof 5 year of clinical experience preferred.
