  • Products serve industries like the food and beverage packaging, household and industrial, consumer products, medical devices, etc

Job Description

  • Will be managing key materials and production related functions such as supply planning, production scheduling, logistics, and inventory control
  • Directly manage a team comprised of Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator, Procurement Manager, Inventory Control Analyst, and Expeditor
  • Responsible for capacity planning on monthly and annual basis
  • Assess customer demand based on customer forecasts, historical demand trends, and inventory levels using MRP system
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with relevant customer departments to validate forecasted demand in order to maintain operational and financial efficiencies
  • Negotiate with customers on specific demand from a timing perspective to maximize company efficiencies while providing customer satisfaction
  • Work with customer supply chain leads and customer buyers to establish and document demand trends to enable development of equations and tools for improved and predictive planning
  • Generate reports on product lifecycle demand to relevant groups
  • Determine Material requirements and oversee procurement manager to ensure sufficient and qualified supply
  • Evaluate suppliers within the supply chain and provide feedback to procurement manager with respect to agility, pricing and payment terms
  • Negotiate terms with vendors as needed to better suit the business needs and conditions
  • Direct the issuance of purchase orders to procurement manager or issue purchase orders as needed
  • Maintain inventory with best practices to ensure proper cash management based on payment terms and customer demand
  • Determine & manage inventory levels to ensure that they are kept to optimum levels
  • Provide vision and leadership to department head to optimize logistic and operational activities

Qualifications

  • Need a B.S. degree in Supply Chain, Business, or some technical field
  • Experience with Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience within supply chain or master scheduling
  • Management experience is a plus but they are only really managing the process and a few individuals who are professional and accountable so they are willing to train on management skills
  • Must have manufacturing experience (plastics would be a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicore would be a plus)
  • Experience with forecasting and data analysis (experience with seasonality is a plus)
