Controls Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Our client was started in Louisville, KY in 2002 and has been growing at a rapid rate over the past 10 years. They have a HUGE amount of work on the books for Fedex, UPS control system and automation upgrades. They have around 50 engineers and it allows them to share the workload including travel to sites for installation and integration.

They are in a major upswing right now. They recently opened an office in Dallas, TX and are now looking for more talented and skilled engineers to join their team and sit remote in St. Louis.

Our client is a rapidly growing controls integrator that we have worked with for 5 years building up their engineering team. They have an incredible amount of work they have won with UPS, Fedex, and Fedex Express to upgrade existing control architecture and integrate new systems as well.

They are in search of several experienced and skilled engineers for the following positions:

1.) PLC Programmer

2.) HMI Programmer

3.) Electical Design Engineer

PLC PROGRAMMER


Responsibilities:

• This person will be doing offline and onsite programming PLC's and integrating HMI's for various projects conveyor/sortation integration and controls programming
• Programming GE, Allen Bradley (RSLogix 5000, Controllogix) or Modicon PLC's
• Programming Rockwell or Seimens Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)
• Programming HMI applications such as Wonderware and RSview's is CRITICAL for this position and their upcoming projects with UPS
• Communication design with: controlnet, devicenet, profibus and Ethernet/IP
  Qualifications:
• Four year degree required (Electrical Engineering)
• 3 to 5 years experience programming PLC's (Allen Bradley, Modicon or GE)
• must also be able to program HMI's and VFD's
• must be able to set up communication networks between PLC's such as ethernet/IP
• Experience with RSLogix 5000 software and Controllogix hardware are required for this position!!
• Embedded and Software Engineers with material handling or similar industry experience are also welcome for these positions.
  

HMI PROGRAMMER

Responsibilities:

• HMI/GUI design and development using Wonderware, RS View OR Indusoft to interface conveyor systems and/or related equipment used in the Material Handling Industry (Freight/Parcel, Baggage Handling, Warehouse Distribution, and Manufacturing).
• This will include SCADA level programming for conveyor systems. These systems will interface with all the different components and sensors in a system.
• This will include custom code development in C and SQL for reporting.
• Communication design with: controlnet, devicenet, profibus and Ethernet/IP
  Qualifications:
• 4 year degree required for this position (Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering)
• MUST have 3-5 years development experience for Indusoft, Wonderware, or RS View HMI software
• Experience with RSLogix 5000 software and Controllogix hardware is highly preferred
• Experience with material handling applications is also highly preferred for these positions
• Embedded and Software Engineers with material handling or similar industry experience are also welcome for these positions.
  
  ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
  
  Responsibilities:
• Create detail electrical schematics using AutoCAD in 2D
• Design primary control panels, remote control panels and associated components and systems for material handling and sortation applications for parcel/post packages
• Power feed calculations, 480v power schematics, 120v power schematics, I/O drawings and field device layouts
  Qualifications:
• BS. Electrical Engineering highly preferred
• Must have strong AutoCAD design skills
• Design experience with industrial control systems
• Experience creating electrical schematics, device layouts, 3 phase electrical diagrams, and control panel layouts for conveyor systems

Preferred Experience:

• Material handling or conveyor control system design
• Familiarity with specifications and equipment for FedEx or UPS
• Familiarity with Rockwell products:Controllogix, VFD's, HMI's
• Communication bus design experience
