Entry Level Construction Materials Technician - Full-time / Part-time

Job Description:

• Inspecting construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with specifications, plans, and/or proposals
• Perform required testing of soil, concrete, masonry and asphalt construction materials
• Notify the Contractor and others of non-conforming and conforming work
• $12-14 hourly depending on experience and for opportunity overtime

Requirements:

• Ability to work outside, construction scheduling (early mornings, up to 60 hours during peak season and not guaranteed hours in off season)
• MVR, drug and background checks
• Have a minimum high school education or a G.E.D. certificate
• Be able to take orders well and present a neat appearance
• Be reliable
• Be willing to work overtime hours
• Show a willingness to make reasonable efforts toward self-improvement by studying technical material
• Comply with the company's drug free program and medical requirements
• The position requires considerable standing, walking, stooping, pushing, pulling, and sometimes working in tiring and uncomfortable positions
• He/she will be required to handle objects weighing as much as 60 pounds on a regular basis
