Location:
This position is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego County
Hours:
Temporary position: Full time; 8-hours day shift; start time can be between 6am to 8am.
Pay:
Up to $16.50hr
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and RVS/CPT/ICD-9 coding.
- Ten key by touch.
- CRT keyboard skills.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge of standard insurance procedures (pricing, exclusions, etc. One-year previous claims processing experience in an HMO or indemnity insurance setting (HMO preferred).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Some college preferred.
Summary:
The Claims Processor will do adjudication of referral claims and all related functions.
Department is comprised of 5 claims processing units that process HMO claims for 3 medical groups..
Additional Information: they will be using the EMR system Centricity. This is a 3 month open ended contract. Will be processing between 15-25 claims per hour (120 - 200 claims per day).
